We Can Be In Two Places At The Same Time!

To Do List:
Stand in two hemisphere's at the same time - check.

We took the boat from London to Greenwich today and made the rounds at the Royal Observatory and Maritime Museum. Dave and I straddled the International Date Line - on one side it was 11:04 and on the other it was 12:04. (I guess Drew and Daniel are afraid of what the future holds?) We did manage to do it without the rain; it had just finished and hadn't started again yet.

We saw a docudrama on the Discovery Channel at one time about a guy named John Harrison who won a competition to figure out a way to solve the whole longitude, navigating at sea thing in 1774. Several of the clocks he invented are housed at the observatory and Drew was especially interested after seeing the show.

Daniel (as the rest of us) is adjusting to the time change; we're 7 hours ahead here. It's easy to stay up late, but REALLY hard to get up. Power nap on the Thames!

Dave took matters into his own hands and decided that Drew needed a serious attitude adjustment at the London Clink.

We met up with some friends that we affectionately refer to as 'our Germans'. We became friends in 1986 while we both lived in Wisconsin. Over the years we have kept in close contact and today we met to share a few days together in London. It's great to see them and the boys feel like they have a sister in Dominique (she took the photo). We love 'our Germans'!
